Job Summary / Objective
The Religious School Operations Administrator works closely with multiple areas of the department and provides operational support for the Religious School. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, efficiency, confidentiality, and the ability to coordinate time-sensitive communications across departments and with congregants.

Essential Functions / Key Responsibilities
- Serve as liaison between the LCLJ (excluding Nursery School) and Operations, Facilities, and Security.
- Coordinate logistics for all Religious School programming, including room reservations, event setup, food orders, audiovisual needs, and related planning.
- Order office and program supplies.
- Book flights, buses, hotels, and other travel arrangements for LCLJ trips and events.
- Reconcile LCLJ credit card expenses.
- Provide daily operational support including signage, snacks, guest management, student sign-in, early pickups, and special events.
- Understand departmental and Synagogue goals, policies, procedures, and standards.
- Support the collaborative work and culture of both the Education Department and the broader Synagogue.

Communication
Manages sensitive information appropriately while maintaining confidentiality. Represents the Director of the Religious School and Central Synagogue professionally both internally and externally. Collaborates closely with administrative and education staff to ensure consistency in communication and teamwork.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Knowledge of synagogue life and Jewish education preferred.
- 1–2 years of administrative support experience or equivalent.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and databases.
- Knowledge of Zoom and Microsoft Teams preferred.
- Salesforce experience is a strong plus.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to establish and re-establish priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to clearly communicate policies and procedures with patience and professionalism.
- Strong attention to detail and data entry skills.

Compensation & Benefits
Expected Salary Range: $55,000–$60,000 annually.
Central Synagogue offers an extensive benefits package designed to support the needs of our diverse and dedicated staff. Compensation is commensurate with experience and determined based on factors including skills, knowledge, education, training, specialization, and overall experience. The salary range represents the Synagogue’s good-faith estimate at the time of posting.
Hybrid Schedule
Four days per week in the office and one remote day on Friday. Remote work may vary depending on the operational needs of the Youth & Family Education Department.
