Brauser Maimonides Academy in Hollywood, Florida seeks a dynamic Elementary School Assistant Principal to begin July 1, 2022.

Brauser Maimonides Academy is an early childhood to 8th grade Modern Orthodox Jewish Day School in Hollywood/ Fort Lauderdale, Florida that is committed to academic excellence in both Judaic and General Studies, while maintaining a warm, nurturing, and supportive environment.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in education, and will have the following core priorities:

-A commitment and passion for creating and nurturing an inclusive and diverse learning environment to support the development of the whole child. -A positive, flexible, and professional approach to working with various school constituencies, including faculty, students, parents, and school staff. -Cultural competence and understanding with experience implementing culturally responsive approaches to teaching and learning. -A demonstrated commitment to lifelong learning and a willingness to take intellectual risks, ask questions, be open and welcoming of feedback, and be comfortable having candid conversations in offering professional feedback to colleagues. -Experience as a General Studies instructional coach supporting teachers’ pedagogical and professional growth. -Knowledge and demonstrated effectiveness with General Studies curriculum design and planning, and specifically interdisciplinary curriculum development.

Requirements -At least 8 years of distinguished classroom teaching experience, preferably with Elementary School students. -At least 3 years of prior leadership experience. -Experience with student-centered/inquiry-based teaching, project-based learning (PBL),and Understanding by Design (UbD) instructional planning. -Strong interpersonal; oral and written communication skills .
