Bolton Street Synagogue is a vibrant and inclusive Reform Jewish congregation located in Baltimore City's Roland Park Neighborhood. The Marketing & Communications Administrator is a new and integral role at BSS and will report to the Executive Director.
Roles & Responsibilities – including, but not limited to, the following:
- Weekly e-blast communications through MailChimp - Gather and place content.
- Bi-monthly newsletter – Create, gather, and place content.
- Write content to support communications and marketing efforts, including newsletters, website copy, brochures, and press releases.
- Ensure the website (through WordPress) is updated.
- Aid in coordination of the Marketing calendar among the Synagogue groups.
- Oversee all social media platforms for the Synagogue.
- Assist with outreach to press outlets, magazines, and influencers and build strategic partnerships to grow brand notoriety.
- Serve as a proofreader for other members of the team.
- Assist in streamlining our brand for a cohesive marketing approach.
- Additional office support as needed.

Qualifications:
- Minimum 2-3 years of relevant work experience
- Previous experience with graphic design components
- Tech savvy, proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, Google Suite, MailChimp, Facebook marketing, Canva, etc.
- WordPress or CMS back-end experience a plus
- Experience with Livestream and Zoom preferred
- Deep knowledge of social media strategy and building/maintaining social media accounts is preferred.
Location/General Conditions:
- Part-time in-personw/flexibility to be hybrid on occasion.
- Ability to commit approximately 10 hours a week to the role.
- Availability to work some evenings/weekends/Jewish holidays
