History Founded in 2009 as an annual tour of New York City as a gesture of solidarity and support for wounded IDF soldiers, Belev Echad has grown into an internationally recognized non-profit dedicated to restoring these heroes back to life through physical, medical, legal, emotional, and financial support. We provide our soldiers with life-saving treatment to help restore their mental and physical health with intention and purpose, resources that are not easily accessible. These brave heroes fought for Israel, and they deserve the best from us. Our extensive therapies and programs help the soldiers, and their families, recover and transition back into a meaningful life without limits. We support them every step of the way through what can be a challenging journey, ensuring they are never alone and constantly supported.
Position Overview Belev Echad is seeking a dynamic, driven, and mission-aligned Director of Development in acheiving our expanding annual fundraising goals. Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, you’ll manage and grow a portfolio of current and prospective major donors, ensuring long-term engagement and investment in our mission.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development team in implementing a strategic and sustainable fundraising plan.
- Cultivate, steward, solicit, and upgrade donors—managing a strong pipeline of mid- to high-level partners.
- Identify and engage new prospects aligned with our mission and values.
- Conduct regular in-person and virtual meetings with donors across your portfolio.
- Plan and execute compelling donor experiences, events, and campaigns.
- Attend donor events
- Track progress against goals, providing regular reports and insights.
Candidate Qualifications
- 3–5 years of fundraising experience, preferably with a proven record of securing major gifts.
- A passionate advocate for Israel and Jewish causes.
- Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills.
- A creative thinker and strategic planner who thrives on results.
- Strong writing and presentation skills, with an ability to tailor messages to diverse audiences.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- A collaborative spirit—comfortable working independently and as part of a fast-moving, mission-driven team.
