International August Executives Conference: (August Execs) is an annual gathering of the highest-elected teen leadership (President) from every community to plan, train, get ready for the year ahead, vote on legislation, and finalize skills and strategies for their home regions and communities. Dates and Availability:
- Location: Fairfax, VA, U.S.A.
- Work Commitment: Tuesday, August 11 – Sunday, August 16, 2026
- Stipend / Remmuneration: $400 + Travel (if applicable)
Key Position Responsibilities include (and are not limited to):
Community
- Serve as a role model for participants as a young Jewish adult and an exemplary BBYO alum, translating past BBYO experiences into learning opportunities for participants. Display how the AZA and BBG movement meaningfully expands beyond high school years.
- Assist with daily logistical needs, including but not limited to program set-up, supply organization, supply acquisition, supporting office tasks, supporting medical professionals, assisting with event preparation, catering to participants with unique dietary needs, etc.
- Prepare the hotel for teen arrival in advance of August Execs.
- Participate in informal education programming, tefillot, meals, and all other aspects of communal life.
- Support teen transportation to/from the airport and/or train station, including greeting at the airport/train station and riding buses to/from the hotel.
- Follow and enforce all health and safety guidelines.
- Complete nightly room checks to ensure teen safety and compliance.
Programming
- Support staff, designated teens, and other madrichim with programming efforts.
- Build and facilitate informal education programming (athletics, electives, skill builders, Shabbat).
- Assist with preparing program materials and spaces as needed.
- Creatively flip spaces to build immersive experiences and pop-up environments.
Customer Service
- Keep the community healthy, happy, focused, and enthusiastic to deliver a memorable experience. Execute role with the highest level of customer service and participant care.
- Provide comfort, support, and compassion for all participants during program duration.
- Maintain conference atmosphere (orderliness, organization, lost-and-found, oversee rooms cleanliness, etc.)
- Support conference safety and participant compliance.
Qualifications:
- Applicants must be a minimum of one full year out of high school for this role.
- This role is for current university/college age applicants.
- Familiarity/experience with August Execs program is a plus.
- Being a BBYO (AZA/BBG) Alumni is strongly preferred.
