Hybrid Washington DC Office/Remote

Time Commitment: 10 - 19 hours/week, 1-2 days/week in the D.C. Office

Pay: $17.95/hour

BBYO is seeking an Operations Intern to work closely with members of the Systems and Technology and Philanthropic Engagement teams to ensure data quality across all systems. The Operations Intern is a key member of BBYO's IT Department and is responsible for assisting the Development Manager with inserting, updating, and researching constituent information as it relates to donations, BBYO members, and alumni.

What you’ll get to do as an Operations Intern:

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Provide support to the operations team with gift entry projects.
  • Assist with physical mailings including fundraising appeals, acknowledgements, and bills.
  • Assist Fundraising Department with operational tasks.
  • Maintain accurate constituent data in the development Salesforce database; work on finding and resolving duplicate entries, invalid addresses, and address changes.
  • Assist on data cleanup projects and data upload preparation
  • Assist the Philanthropic Operations Manager with customer inquiries.
  • Assist on building and completing recurring data projects.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate can work quickly while paying attention to detail, without sacrificing customer service. This person can meet deadlines and complete projects in a timely manner. A candidate with excellent computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel and experience working in a donor database, is preferred. This person will have excellent interpersonal skills and an interest in working in a dynamic and fast-growing development operations.

  • High level proficiency with PCs and Microsoft OS.
  • Advanced skills in Word, Outlook, Excel
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with databases, preferably Salesforce or another Donor Management Systems, is a plus.
  • Currently in pursuit of a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree at an accredited university.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and be resourceful and adaptable.
  • Ability to work 10-19 hours a week, with at least one in person office day per week, in the Washington DC office.
  • A background in BBYO or similar youth/Jewish organization preferred but not required.
  • Unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. without holding a visa or sponsorship.
