Position title: Fitness Center Attendant. FLSA: Hourly/Non-Exempt/Part-Time. Department: Sports & Fitness. Pay Range: $12.00–$14.00 per hour. Reports to Fitness & Group Exercise Supervisor. Ensures the fitness center operates smoothly and provides a welcoming, clean, and safe environment, delivering high-quality customer service. Must: work well in a team; have strong communication and customer service skills; be friendly, patient, professional and empathetic; strong multitasking, prioritization and organizational skills; maintain confidentiality. Key Responsibilities: engage members/guests, greet and respond to questions; build professional relationships; provide basic assistance/orientation on equipment; ensure safety, respond/report emergencies; clean equipment and keep area tidy; launder towels and maintain supply; enforce etiquette; continually walk the floor to engage and enforce safety/sanitation; report maintenance issues; role model healthy lifestyle and positive attitude; provide hospitality and teamwork; maintain strict confidentiality; other duties. Physical: respond swiftly in emergencies; talk/hear; stand/walk/stoop/kneel/crouch; occasionally climb/push/pull; lift/move up to 50 lbs; noisy environment and close proximity to others.
