POSITION TITLE: Driver. FLSA: Hourly/Non-Exempt. DEPARTMENT: Transportation. HOURS: Up to 15 hours/week, in person. REPORTS TO: Director of Systems and Operations. Provides safe and reliable transportation for JCC programs and events, including older adult activities and after-school programs/field trips; ensures bus/van is safe to operate. Key Competencies: excellent driving record; collaborative; outstanding interpersonal and communication skills; experience with children and older adults; reliable and punctual; invested in agency success. Responsibilities: transport older adults from home to JCC; transport after-school students from school to the JCC and to field trips; assist passengers on/off vehicles; check vehicle fluids; wash vans; report problems; protect health/safety of passengers; attend meetings; perform errands and other duties. Physical requirements: see/talk/hear; sit/stand/walk; bend/pull; lift up to 50 lbs (occasionally up to 100 lbs); use telephone and occasionally computer; work outside in hot/cold; work in loud/noisy environments and close proximity to others; drive 14-seat passenger van, 29-seat bus, 57-seat school bus, and two 6-seat mini-vans. Qualifications: 21+ with HS diploma or equivalent; Class B or A CDL with P Endorsement required; clean driving record; experience driving multi-passenger vehicles; experience with older adults/children preferred; CPR/First Aid preferred.
