POSITION TITLE: Driver FLSA: Hourly/Non-ExemptDEPARTMENT: Transportation HOURS: Up to 15 hours/week, in personREPORTING RELATIONSHIP: Director of Systems and OperationsDrivers provide safe and reliable transportation to programs and events offered at the Barshop JCC (older adult activities, after‑school programs, field trips) and ensure vehicles are safe to operate.Key Competencies: Excellent driving record; collaborative team player; outstanding interpersonal and communication skills; experience with children and older adults; reliable, punctual; invested in agency success.Key Responsibilities: Transport older adults to/from the JCC; transport after‑school students from school to the JCC and on field trips; assist passengers on/off vehicles; check oil and transmission fluids; wash vans; report vehicle issues; protect health and safety of all passengers; attend team meetings; run agency errands; perform other duties as assigned.Physical Requirements: Regularly see, talk and hear; sit, stand, walk; bend and pull; lift/move up to 50 lbs (occasionally up to 100 lbs); use telephone (and occasionally a computer); work outside in hot/cold environments; work in loud/noisy environments; drive 14‑seat van, 29‑seat bus, 57‑seat school bus, and 6‑seat mini‑vans.Qualifications: 21+ with HS diploma or equivalent; Class B or A Commercial Driver’s License with P Endorsement required; clean driving record; experience with older adults and children preferred; experience driving multi‑passenger vehicles; Infant/Child/Adult CPR and First Aid preferred.Interested candidates: email resume to Gretchen Randall at randallg@jcc-sa.org.
