The SOD oversees JCC facilities, members, guests, staff and activities during evening and weekend hours; responds to needs and concerns courteously and professionally; works independently and as part of a team; requires flexibility, good judgment and excellent communication. Reports to the Sports and Recreation Director.Key Responsibilities: Supervise Sports & Fitness area, Tennis Courts, Swimming pool, ballfields and main level; implement a clean and safe environment; maintain supervisory presence via ongoing building walk‑throughs; address suspicious/unsafe behavior; secure entrances and offices; provide premier customer service; address member concerns attentively and courteously; report incidents/issues to Sports & Fitness Rec Director; complete incident/accident reports; oversee and assist evening/weekend staff (CID, S&F Front Desk, Gift Shop, Fitness Center, Group Fitness, Sports & Rec, Aquatics, Maintenance); coordinate and implement program/event set‑ups per schedule; maintain constant communication with CID; understand and execute EAP; perform other duties as assigned.Experience: Proven ability to supervise facilities, activities and staff; strong problem-solving; excellent customer service and communication; CPR/AED and First Aid (re‑cert available); previous supervisory experience preferred; experience with Microsoft Office and Outlook in a professional setting.Contact Director of Recreation and Fitness Services at (210) 302-6843.
