Job Description – Camp Alonim
Job Title: Gan Alonim Day Camp Registrar Location: Simi Valley, California Hours: This is a seasonal, in-person role. The position is part time March-May (hours varying from 10-20 hours a week) and becomes full time (approximately 35 hours a week) from June-August.
Salary: $17/hour
Primary Responsibilities:
Registration and administration for Gan Alonim Day Camp Learn to use CampMinder, the cloud-based database that is an all-in-one platform for managing camper data as well as many day-to-day administrative camp functions
Process enrollment applications
Manage camper enrollment: make changes to enrolled campers days/weeks, track missed/sick days, and update the waiting list on a regular basis
Coordinate camper transportation sign-ups and appropriate charges
Prepare weekly enrollment summaries, forms, and paperwork for the day camp director
Collect, review and process required day camp forms
Communicate with parents on the phone and in email
Collect payments for camp tuition
When camp is in session: daily communication with the day camp director(s) regarding camper absences, travel arrangements, or other concerns as they arise
Other duties that may be assigned by the day camp director(s)
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Assistant to Camp Alonim’s Enrollment and Communications Manager: Parent communication
- Assist with the collection, review and processing of required overnight camp forms
- Help with check-in on Opening Day
- Other duties as assigned
Candidate Requirements:
- Proficient with Microsoft platforms (Outlook, Office, Excel etc)
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Customer service experience, in settings interacting with parents preferred
- Self-starter
- Prior experience working in a database preferred but not required
