Donor Relations Officer

JDC, the world’s leading Jewish humanitarian organization, seeks to hire a dynamic individual with superior organizational and writing skills to fill a position as a Donor Relations Officer. The ideal candidate will have an authentic passion for JDC's mission, experience in coordinating and managing diverse projects, and be an articulate communicator skilled at working as part of a team.

The Donor Relations team serves as a critical component of JDC's global Resource Development (RD) department and provides support to front line fundraisers throughout the world, along with engaging in active stewardship of relationships with individual donors, foundations, and Jewish Federations.

In this role, you will help translate JDC’s global work into compelling donor communications, manage stewardship and reporting processes, and partner closely with frontline fundraisers to support meaningful donor relationships. The role requires exceptional writing, strong follow-through, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Write and edit high-quality donor materials, including grant proposals, reports, and program updates.
  • Proactively Manage processes related to donor stewardship and engagement, grant reporting, and deadlines with rigorous attention to detail.
  • Partner with program staff to gather information about JDC's global programming and translate it into compelling donor-facing materials, serving as a key conduit of program information to frontline fundraisers.
  • Accompany funders on visits to JDC projects in Israel, including facilitating site visits, speaking to groups, and representing JDC's work with clarity, warmth, and professionalism.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements: What qualifications does this job require?

  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • English mother tongue; Hebrew moderate to high
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience
  • Excellent English writing and editing skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office/Outlook/PowerPoint/Excel
  • Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence
  • Ability to manage deadlines and details independently
  • Comfort presenting/speaking to groups

Additional details:

  • Employment type: Full-time
  • Location: Jerusalem
  • Work model: Hybrid (2 days a week from the office)
  • Flexibility needed to work late afternoon hours (1-2 times a week)
