Description

Location: Jerusalem (Hybrid)

Type: Full-time position

Reports to: Director of Strategy and Innovations

JOINTECH is the innovation arm of JDC-FSU (Former Soviet Union), a large international humanitarian organization operating in multiple countries and serving communities through large-scale social impact work. Innovation and technology are core pillars of JDC’s strategy, and JOINTECH is responsible for translating that strategic direction into practical digital products, platforms, and technology-enabled solutions.

The Product Manager will lead the end-to-end delivery of JOINTECH products, from product requirements and product definition received from the business development and strategy teams, through specification, build, implementation, rollout, and continuous improvement. This is a technology product management role in a complex international organization - not a traditional NGO IT position. It requires a strong product operator who can drive execution with development partners, manage delivery in a structured way, and ensure products are implemented successfully and improved over time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end product delivery lifecycle: product definition input → specification → build → testing → implementation → rollout → continuous improvement.
  • Translate business, operational, and strategic requirements into clear product requirements, user stories, priorities, and delivery plans.
  • Work closely with external development teams and technology vendors to drive implementation, ensure quality, and maintain delivery discipline.
  • Own day-to-day delivery governance: scope, priorities, roadmap execution, sprint/release planning, testing, and launch readiness.
  • Build and manage implementation plans, timelines, risks, dependencies, and mitigation actions across the full delivery process.
  • Coordinate closely with the business development / strategy unit and relevant stakeholders to ensure the product build reflects defined objectives and requirements.
  • Lead implementation and rollout processes with field teams and organizational stakeholders, ensuring smooth adoption and operational readiness.
  • Establish structured feedback loops from users, field teams, and stakeholders, and translate them into ongoing product improvements.
  • Own product documentation, including specifications, workflows, feature descriptions, release notes, and implementation materials.
  • Support the creation of training materials and onboarding assets for users and field teams.
  • Manage pilot execution, post-launch follow-up, issue resolution processes, and stabilization activities together with vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Coordinate ongoing support processes, including issue intake, triage, prioritization, and resolution tracking with development partners.
  • Monitor product performance, usage, and operational effectiveness, and drive continuous enhancements based on data and feedback.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Product Manager in a technology-focused product environment (minimum 4 years).
  • Strong background in technical systems analysis, with a demonstrated ability to translate high-level strategic goals into functional system requirements, API definitions, and scalable technical architectures.
  • Experience managing the full product delivery lifecycle in a large, innovation-driven technology company or complex enterprise product environment.
  • Hands-on experience leading external development teams, technology vendors, or multidisciplinary product delivery partners.
  • Strong execution skills: product planning, roadmap management, delivery governance, implementation oversight, and continuous improvement.
  • Strong product documentation skills and the ability to translate business needs into clear product specifications.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including the ability to work across strategy, operations, and technology functions.
  • Strong ownership and accountability.
  • Highly organized, execution-oriented, and comfortable operating in complex delivery environments.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Able to balance strategic understanding with hands-on delivery and implementation management.
  • Education: Systems Analysis, Computer Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related relevant field.
  • Required Languages: English – high proficiency; Russian – high proficiency; Hebrew is an advantage.

Preferred Qualifications (Advantage)

  • Experience with complex digital platforms serving multiple user types, geographies, or operational environments.
  • Experience working with enterprise-grade products, structured product processes, and cross-functional delivery governance.
  • Familiarity with user-centered design and implementation for non-technical or operational user groups.
  • Experience in mission-driven, humanitarian, healthcare, or social impact organizations – advantage, but not a substitute for strong product management experience.
