Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Ecosystem Navigator & Systems Thinker

  • Conduct ongoing system-wide mapping of community organizations, stakeholders, and networks to identify key influencers and maintain an evolving picture of the landscape.
  • Encourage and support comprehensive needs assessments that integrate data and stakeholder input to uncover gaps, overlaps, and opportunities for catalytic impact.
  • Clarify JDC’s strategic role in each community - convener, capacity-builder, or partner - to align local actions with global goals.
  • Turn complex data into clear strategies and visuals to help senior leadership use field insights for decisions.

Organization Partner & Community Builder

  • Translate ecosystem-wide insights into practical, localized strategies, helping partners articulate their unique contributions and connecting them to regional or global networks.
  • Strengthen the institutional capacity of community organizations by mentoring leadership on governance, strategic planning, and adaptive management to navigate complexity.
  • Facilitate processes that shift the dynamic from dependency to local ownership, ensuring organizations take primary responsibility for their growth and resilience.
  • Convene diverse community actors - including organizations, leaders, and activists - to foster collaboration, peer learning, and shared purpose across the ecosystem.

Resource Mobilizer, Integrator & Manager

  • Mobilize the optimal mix of internal expertise and global resources to address complex community challenges, designing strategic interventions that drive sustainable, long-term impact.
  • Drive end-to-end accountability for initiatives, modeling a proactive mindset that anticipates challenges and delivers results rather than waiting for top-down solutions.
  • Champion a dynamic flow of insights and best practices between local teams, regional HQ, and partners to foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
  • Engage the local teams, acting as the critical bridge between field realities and organizational strategy while cultivating an environment of collaboration and professional growth.
  • Cultivate strategic relationships with internal departments and external stakeholders, effectively representing community needs to ensure resources are aligned, accessible, and impactful.

Requirements

Requirements:

  • Significant professional experience (4+ years) in management consulting, social impact strategy, or complex organizational leadership, with a proven ability to navigate matrixed or hybrid structures - aligning HQ-level strategy with local implementation through effective resource integration and people management.
  • Strong analytical and strategic capabilities, including systems mapping, stakeholder analysis, and strategy design - with the ability to translate high-level data into actionable community interventions. Experience in impact measurement, data-driven decision-making, or strategic foresight to guide investment and policy decisions - an advantage.
  • Demonstrated experience in ecosystem convening and cross-sector coordination, specifically in fostering collaboration between NGOs, donors, government bodies, and civic organizations — building and sustaining partnerships that drive collective impact.
  • Languages: Russian (Fluent/Native) and English (High Proficiency) – required; Hebrew – an advantage.
  • Excellent facilitation and communication skills, capable of guiding senior stakeholders through complex change processes and building consensus across diverse groups.
  • Integrity, resilience, and a growth mindset, with a commitment to high professional standards and the ability to navigate ambiguity in a changing environment.
