About the Position

We are seeking a pro-active and detail-oriented Resource Development Associate to play a key role in strengthening donor relationships and advancing our mission. This position focuses on grant management and donor engagement, with secondary responsibilities in marketing and communications. The Resource Development Associate will report to JDC-Ashalim's Director of Strategic Partnerships.

Position description

Grant management:

  • Manage JDC-Ashalim's donor account tracking, ensuring accurate Salesforce documentation, timely submissions, processing of receipts and thank you letters.
  • Coordinate grant application and report writing processes in collaboration with JDC RD and JDC-Ashalim finance and program teams - collecting narrative information and budgets, guiding writers, editing, managing approvals.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with RD teams regarding materials, presentations and donor visits.

Donor Engagement and Events:

  • Participate in JDC Israel inter-departmental liaisons team, to advance donor experiences and engagement
  • Plan and schedule donor field visits; preparing background materials and coordinating details.
  • Support donor-related events, including organization and materials.
  • Accompany visitors and delegations when needed.

Marketing and Communications:

  • Develop and manage JDC-Ashalim marketing materials (including videos, stills, quotes, and written content) to support resource development.
  • Collaborate with JDC-Israel Marcom Team to leverage PR and marketing opportunities.

Departmental Support

  • Serve as a resource for English-language materials and oversee translations
  • Ensure organized donor relationship and data management across Outlook, Excel and SharePoint and Salesforce
  • Stay informed about JDC-Ashalim programs and events
  • Guide volunteers (primarily from JDC-Entwine) in JDC-Ashalim tasks

Requirements

Position requirements are:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Knowledge of the Jewish philanthropic environment and fundraising
  • Fluency in English and Hebrew (spoken, reading, writing)
  • Excellent communication skills, including strong writing ability
  • Strong organizational, operational, and time-management skills; ability to multitask
  • Excellent interpersonal and team player skills; ability to work with different levels inside and outside the organization
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office, familiarity with Salesforce
  • Familiarity with NGOs and government services – preferred
