The ideal candidate will provide a nurturing, developmentally appropriate environment that promotes the healthy growth of each infant—emotionally, socially, cognitively, and physically—within a values-driven, family-oriented school community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create a safe, loving, and predictable environment where infants feel secure and supported.

  • Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that support early developmental milestones.

  • Foster meaningful connections with each child, responding to individual needs and cues.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom that meets licensing and health standards.

  • Communicate daily with families regarding routines, developmental updates, and special moments.

  • Supervise and guide assistant teachers in classroom routines and best caregiving practices.

  • Monitor and document children’s growth, behaviors, and progress using observation tools.

  • Partner with Early Childhood leadership to maintain alignment with the school’s mission and vision.

  • Participate actively in professional learning, team meetings, and school-wide initiatives.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (preferred).

  • Infant/Toddler CDA, Early Childhood teaching certification, or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum 1–2 years working in an infant or toddler classroom setting.

  • Familiarity with responsive caregiving and child-led learning philosophies.

  • Ability to lift, carry, and care for infants in accordance with licensing and safety guidelines.

  • Strong communication, collaboration, and observation skills.

  • Commitment to building relationships with children, families, and colleagues.

  • Familiarity with Jewish values and traditions is a plus, but not required.
