POSITION TITLE: Education Program Manager (Europe)

REPORTS TO: Senior Regional Director, Europe

SUPERVISION EXERCISED: Supervise the work of per-diem trainers and contractors.

LOCATION: Anywhere in Europe

Grade/Class: Grade XX, Exempt

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Manage, adapt and coordinate the delivery of ADL’s Words to Action (WTA) programs for Jewish communities across Europe.

Responsibilities

Primary:

  • Market and implement WTA programs and initiatives for Jewish schools, Jewish students, Jewish youth groups, and other Jewish organizations with youth audiences.
  • Ensure a robust cadre of WTA trainers across Europe through recruitment, training, relationship management, and continuing education.
  • Oversee data management and evaluation efforts.
  • Develop distribution plans and implementation strategies for the WTA program.
  • Develop and update key internal partnerships & program materials in collaboration with ADL Education colleagues.
  • Conduct research to understand needs of target audiences to help inform the development of the WTA program.
  • Maintain territorial market and competitor awareness, developing and presenting ideas for new opportunities.
  • Provide ongoing consultation and support to schools and community organizations.
  • Complete necessary program administrative tasks.
  • Represent ADL on education-related issues at external conferences, seminars and meetings. May prepare and deliver speeches, write local press releases and respond to media inquiries.

Secondary:

  • Provide assistance to other ADL staff on education programs, special projects and events.
  • Work with International Affairs staff to respond to antisemitic incidents and other issues that arise in the work of International Affairs.

Qualifications

Skills:

  • Experience with educational systems and practices and development of educational materials.
  • Good knowledge of antisemitism issues.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills and comfort with public speaking and recruiting new clients and trainers.
  • Excellent organizational skills such as time management and prioritizing.
  • Ability to work independently, with limited supervision.
  • Fluent in English. Additional language skills a plus.

Work Experience:

  • The ideal candidate has several years of progressively responsible community service experience including education program management experience.


Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in education/training or equivalent work experience.


Work Environment:

  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends when necessary to represent ADL, conduct training sessions and attend community events. Some travel within the region and beyond is required.

Compensation:

  • This position has a salary range of $60,000 to $70,000. This salary range is reflective of a position based in (New York, NY). Please note that actual salaries are commensurate with experience and reflect the budget for a given position, and since ADL has a location-based compensation structure, there may be a different range for candidates in other locations.
