Supervision: Directly manages senior leaders and teams responsible for Operations, Partnerships and Editorial Strategy
Location: Anywhere ADL has an Office (strong preference for New York)

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The Vice President serves as the operational architect for the Center on Extremism, Center on Technology and Society, and Law Enforcement teams, integrating editorial and analysis output, partnerships and technology into a cohesive, high-performing intelligence enterprise. This position acts as a key advisor to the SVP, Counter-Extremism & Intelligence, translating high-level strategic priorities into executable initiatives that drive organizational growth, mitigate risk, and strengthen infrastructure. Additionally, the VP leads the seamless delivery of intelligence and insights by modernizing workflows, fostering strong external partnerships, and ensuring deep collaboration across departments to position the agency for sustainable growth.
Responsibilities
Primary Objectives:
- Drive the efficient, effective, and scalable operation of the operations team in partnership with investigative and research teams;
- Strengthen the collaboration between editorial, partnership, and operational functions work together—and with other departments—to maximize impact;
- Optimize the integration of technology, data systems, and operational tools across workstreams to improve efficiency, coordination, and reach;
- Lead high-quality, innovative production that prioritizes accuracy, clarity, and responsible dissemination;
- Advance and support strategic partnerships with law enforcement, Jewish communal security organizations, and other key stakeholders;
- Serve as a senior operational and strategic partner to leadership and the broader organization.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Editorial Enablement & Content Strategy
- Partner with editorial leadership to support and strengthen content production, quality control, and review processes;
- Support the evolution of content strategy, including how research, analysis, and threat information are presented to diverse audiences;
- Ensure actionable outputs are translated from complex materials in collaboration with research, investigations and technology teams;
- Identify and advance opportunities to use technology and digital tools to improve editorial workflows, dissemination, and impact.
Partnerships & External Engagement
- Collaborate with partnerships team to strengthen strategic relationships with external partners;
- Operationalize the delivery infrastructure to ensure strategic partners receive timely, high-impact, and actionable insights through scalable systems and optimized workflows.
- Lead strategic engagement on sensitive issues and emerging threats, partnering with leadership to ensure partnership initiatives strictly adhere to rigorous legal protocols, risk management frameworks, and organizational governance standards.
Operational Leadership, Infrastructure & Technology Integration
- Lead the development and integration of operational systems that support both long-term initiatives and rapid-response work;
- Oversee budgeting, staffing models, workflows, and internal processes with an eye toward scalability and sustainability;
- Champion the strategic integration of technology, data tools, and platforms across editorial, partnerships, and operational functions;
- Identify operational risks and gaps and implement mitigation strategies across Center activities.
Leadership, Strategy & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Lead and support senior managers across editorial, partnerships, and operations;
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement;
- Serve as a conduit between teams and shared services and leadership;
- Act as a strategic and operational thought partner to the SVP on planning, prioritization, and organizational growth;
- Support organizational planning, reporting, and performance measurement related to Center operations and impact.

Qualifications
Skills:
- Demonstrated experience leading complex operations in mission-driven, high-stakes environments;
- Solid judgment and a demonstrable commitment to accuracy, quality, and responsible information sharing;
- Proven ability to design, integrate, and improve operational systems and workflows, including the use of technology;
- Strong financial acumen, including budget planning and resource management;
- Excellent organizational, communication, and people leadership skills;
- Ability to operate effectively in fast-moving environments;
- Collaborative leadership style with deep experience working cross-functionally.
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in operations, program management, or a related field;
- Experience leading editorial, partnership, or operational functions within complex organizations preferred;
- Demonstrated success translating strategy into execution at a senior leadership level.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree or related field, or equivalent experience required;
- Advanced degree in public policy, business, communications, security studies, or a related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- ADL is a hybrid environment; this role may require 3 days in the office
COMPENSATION:
- This position has a salary range of $180,000 to $200,000. This salary range is reflective of a position based in New York, NY. Compensation for this role may include a base salary as well as other variable pay. Please note that actual salaries are commensurate with experience and reflect the budget for a given position, and since ADL has a location-based compensation structure, there may be a different range for candidates in other locations.
