Overview
ADL's International Affairs team is looking for a dynamic intern to join us from June 15 to August 7, 2026. The ideal candidate will have experience with research, writing, and database management, as well as a strong interest in international relations and global affairs. Our International Affairs internship provides the opportunity for students to gain practical experience with monitoring global developments relevant to ADL's mission, managing diplomatic relationship databases and supporting outreach to the diplomatic corps, and conducting research and analysis on international partnerships.
Application portals will close at 3 PM ET on March 10, 2026. ADL will confirm the selected candidates by mid-April.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the daily tasks of the International Affairs team in New York and Washington, DC, including the monitoring of global news and social media, and preparation of digests and policy memos, and fact-checking.
- Undertake database maintenance to support ongoing projects
- Undertake assigned research and writing tasks to support ongoing projects.
- Assist with event management and updating of contact lists.
- Provide assistance to other members of the International Affairs team.
- Attend and participate in the ADL Summer Internship Learning Program sessions, where you will get to have discussions with accomplished leaders and subject matter experts at ADL.
Qualifications

- Comfort working with colleagues remotely
- A working knowledge of a language other than English a plus
- Ability to deliver written products required.
- Experience with remote and/or international work preferred.
- Familiarity with issues related to antisemitism and global affairs preferred.
- Students majoring or minoring in Political Science, International Relations, History, Jewish Studies, Area Studies, or relating subjects preferred.
- Excellent communication skills

Compensation and Hours
- This internship is paid $17.00/hour for candidates based in New York City.
- This internship is paid $18.40/hour for candidates based in Washington, D.C.
- The internship is 15 hours per week.
Location
- This internship will be hybrid, with on-site presence required in New York City OR Washington, D.C., depending on the location of the selected candidate.
