PRIMARY FUNCTION
The Specialist, Data Systems and Reporting is dedicated to delivering accurate data reporting, maintaining data integrity, and enhancing analytics and research initiatives. The Specialist leverages their expertise in data systems and processes to assist with data management and system enhancements. This position supports cross-departmental data requests and report implementations, facilitating data-driven decision-making to improve fundraising operations. Additionally, the Specialist collaborates with the Gift Processing team to ensure data accuracy and effectively resolve discrepancies, contributing to a streamlined and efficient data environment.
Responsibilities
Data Reporting and Request Fulfillment
- Fulfill data and reporting requests to support strategic decision-making and reporting requirements.
- Design and implement standardized report templates across systems.
- Support analytics and prospect research delivery, working with relevant teams to provide actionable insights.
Data Maintenance and Quality Assurance
- Perform regular data cleaning and maintenance across all systems.
- Collaborate with the Gift Processing team to identify and resolve data discrepancies.
System Optimization and Process Improvement
- Leverage expertise in data systems to develop, refine, and implement reporting frameworks.
- Innovate and implement improvements to data management and reporting processes.
Collaboration and Cross-Functional Support
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to support data needs and optimize the user experience within ADL’s data systems.
- Partner with the Knowledge, Training, and Support team to align training and documentation efforts with data reporting needs.
Continuous Learning and Best Practice Adoption
- Keep current in Salesforce and other relevant technologies, implementing best practices in nonprofit data management and CRM usage.
- Apply emerging data management trends to enhance ADL’s data reporting capabilities and support innovation in data-driven fundraising efforts.

Qualifications
Skills:
- Proficiency in Salesforce, data management platforms, and reporting tools, with a strong understanding of data analysis methods.
- Ability to design and maintain reporting templates that meet organizational standards and support data-driven decision-making.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills, capable of performing data cleaning and quality assurance.

Experience:
- The ideal candidate has demonstrable experience with CRM platforms like Salesforce and data processing tools, and experience in data management, reporting, or analysis.
- Prior experience with data maintenance and support in a high-volume reporting environment is preferred.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
Work Environment:
- ADL is a hybrid environment. This role may require 3 days in person.
Compensation:
- This position has a salary range of $65,000 to $75,000. This salary range is reflective of a position based in New York, New York. Please note that actual salaries are commensurate with experience and reflect the budget for a given position, and since ADL has a location-based compensation structure, there may be a different range for candidates in other locations.
