Job Summary:
- Load and unload food, beverages, and catering equipment into the vehicle.
- Deliver food and beverages to various locations in a timely manner.
- Set up catering equipment at event locations, if necessary.
- Follow navigation systems and road signs to reach destinations, safely and with good driving practices.
- Maintain the cleanliness and functionality of the catering vehicle.
- Report any equipment or vehicle concerns promptly and accurately.
- Adhere to food safety standards during transportation.
- Inspect and pack the necessary supplies and utensils needed for the event.
- Communicate with Executive Chef, Catering Services Manager(s), National Culinary Director, COO, and clients about delivery schedules and potential delays.
- Document in and maintain delivery logs.
- Assist in the kitchen, equipment cleaning and vehicle setup when not driving.
- Be familiar with ordering software, website and menu.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing their needs, questions and concerns.
- Verify all items against delivery orders before leaving the kitchen and upon arrival at the event site.
- Obtain delivery confirmation or client sign-off where required.
- Return leftover equipment, supplies, and paperwork to the appropriate location after events.
- Assist with breakdown and pickup of catering equipment after events, when applicable.
- Help maintain inventory of delivery supplies and report shortages.
Helpful prior skills and experience include:
- Valid driver s license and an acceptable driving record required.
- Prior experience in catering, food service, hospitality, or delivery preferred.
- Ability to lift, carry, load, and unload catering equipment and food items safely.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to maintain professionalism when interacting with clients, guests, and staff.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs.
- Comfortable using navigation tools, mobile devices, and basic software systems.
General:
- It is everyone's job to ensure the financial health of the organization through retreat sales, program revenue, and/or fundraising.
- Attend weekly department meetings.
- Attend monthly all-staff meetings.
- Must possess a solid work ethic with strong organizational and time-management skills, excellent attention to detail, professional verbal, and written communication skills in English, as well as provide excellent customer service.
- Must maintain a professional demeanor.
- Must be able to adapt to changing situations.
- Other tasks/duties as assigned.
Working Conditions:
This is a part time, non-exempt position, working roughly 8 hours per week, with local travel and weekend work.
