We believe rest and rejuvenation is a necessary part of social change work. We believe that building towards a world where people are energized and rested at the end of a work week, month, and year is key to sustainability and the impact of our entire sector. As an organization, we offer a range of programs and support, including granting opportunities for leaders and organizations, workshops, coaching, and customized training. Our work is emergent, and three years in, we are proud, humbled by, and excited about our impact on the nonprofit sector thus far.
POSITION
R&R is seeking an operations manager to join our growing team. This role will be the third employee for R&R and will support and manage aspects of the financial, information, fundraising, program, and talent systems to develop a strong foundation for organizational growth and ensure smooth ongoing operations.
**RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial & Development**
- Support the development of the annual budget, incorporating trends and data from previous year
- Prepare monthly expense and revenue reports to ensure timely delivery of information to our team
- Manage banking activities including depositing checks, monitoring cash flow, follow-up and other general oversight
- Help develop funder specific budgets for pitches and reporting
- Support various aspects of development efforts, including calendaring/scheduling, supporting grant reports and prospecting for funders
Information & Program
- Develop and administer internal communications and filing systems, currently within Google Workspace
- Oversee and maintain website and its development to meet R&R’s growth needs
- Create and manage a virtual dashboard to track R&R programs/outputs and assess impact keeping up with reporting needs from each funder
- Support external communications including R&R’s LinkedIn, Zoom technology management, blog schedule and serving as grantees’ point-of-contact
- Assist on special projects as identified by CEO and CPO
Talent & Culture
- Develop and implement internal team building initiatives to support our growing staff
- Lead staff meetings and nurture a culture of appreciation and accountability
- Serve as a liaison with organization’s fiscal sponsor to ensure best talent/financial practices with consultants and contractors who engage with R&R
- Support implementation of R&R’s talent-focused policies and practices for our team
A FEW PROJECTS THAT WILL HELP MEASURE SUCCESS IN YOUR FIRST YEAR
- Development and team utilization of a virtual dashboard to track R&R’s goals, progress, inputs/outputs and impact
- Partnered with and supported the CEO on the operations and administration of a book publishing initiative
- Managed relationship with website developer/consultant and oversaw website update process

- Strong verbal communication and writing skills, including enjoyment in polishing and proofreading content

- Ability to remain flexible and nimble, and not get thrown off by the pivot when unexpected situations arise
- Comfort with primarily working remotely, with the flexibility and interest to travel for work conferences, gatherings, trainings as the organization grows (currently, travel has been limited to 3-4 times per year)
- Interest in working within the nonprofit sector, with a focus on the Jewish subsector, and potential for emergence in the social entrepreneurship space

- Compensation of $80,000/year as a salaried, non-exempt employee of R&R
