We are seeking a qualified accountant to join our organization on a part-time basis with the possibility of full-time employment and promotion in the future. Our dynamic organization works closely with Israel’s Ministry of Diaspora Affairs as well as partner organizations overseas. We are seeking to bring more financial and bookkeeping services in-house in order to streamline operations and ensure consistency and synergy between our diverse programmatic activity and our financial compliance. Our ideal candidate will be a motivated, bi-lingual (Hebrew and English) qualified accountant. As a member of our team you will organize, analyze and verify our various financial transactions and reports to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance. You will also perform monthly/quarterly budget vs. actual reporting, facilitate payroll activities and approve business expense reports. This is a detail-oriented position that is vital to our daily operations. **Duties and Responsibilities** - Review and verify financial transactions - Ensure all financial reporting is compliant with relevant regulations - Perform quarterly audits - Payroll calculations and disbursements - Bookkeeping - Manage division budgets and work with division directors and other staff on financial matters and concerns - Assist CFO in providing guidance to employees (onboarding, salary and pension questions and clarifications, etc.) - Carry out any other such duties as required by the CEO or CFO **Requirements and qualifications** - מנהל חשבונות מדופלם or higher, preference to qualified CPA - Prior experience in an accounting role - Strong proficiency with accounting, bookkeeping and salary software and general computer literacy - Excellent communication and organizational skills - Hebrew and English at mother tongue levels **Reporting to:** Chief Financial Officer **Workload:** Part time (50-75%) initially, with the possibility of growing to full time **Salary range:** This part-time position (50–75% of a full-time schedule) offers a prorated salary based on a full-time range of 18,000–23,000 NIS per month.
